Fixing dowels into solid brick masonry

Hi, I have an application where we are installing new concrete onto an existing solid brick sewer maintenance hole. I am looking for a suitable epoxy product to be able to install starter bars into solid brick, with preferably a 100-year design life.

Hi Glenn,

Thank you for contacting Hilti.

Post-installed fixings into masonry can vary a lot as they depend on the capacity of the base material. Please reach out to our technical support team >> here, and they can assist you for this specific application.

In regard to the 100 years design life, Hilti has two approved chemical anchors which creep resistance has been assessed according to EAD 330087-01-0601, which is the RE 500 V4 and HY 200 V3. The most suitable option for your project will depend on application conditions (loads, configuration, base material resistance, geometry...).

We hope this is helpful.

Regards,
