stainlesss steel anchor in fatigue

Dear Hilti Customer Support Team,
We are currently considering the use of stainless steel products in our projects and we are interested in understanding their fatigue characteristics. Could you kindly provide us with any technical resources that Hilti may have concerning the fatigue design and behavior of stainless steel in your products? if any?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello J Chan,

Thanks for reaching out to Hilti.

As there is no mention of fatigue designs in AS5216, we take the reference of steel from Eurocode 3. Eurocode 3 provides a standardized Wöhler curve covering all steel materials and strengths. The reason why Eurocode 3 provides in general conservative results as it covers all materials (including SS) in one equation and one fatigue resistance class.

However, If you require specific fatigue design support for stainless steel anchors, please reach out to our Engineering team >> here.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
