Pls advise the best way to fit 980 x 100mm M10 threaded rods to a flat roof to be used to hold bracketing for solar panel installation. The flat roof (26 floor 5 star hotel) has not yet been poured and I wanted to know if best to fit the bolts pre-pour or to post fit the bolts. There is a lot of concern over the waterproofing of the roof for a post drill. So need some good information to convince the builder to do it this way.
Hi Robert,
Thanks for reaching out to Hilti.
Based on the loads and more details of the fixing configuration, M10 post-installed anchoring system with RE 500 V4 could be considered. An installation with RE 500 V4 is water-tight up to a pressure of 5 bar. Proper and correct cleaning of the borehole is necessary in this case.

We hope this is helpful.
