Hi, we are constructing a 7 level apartment building in Brisbane ( Type 2 construction, Earthquake design category 2 ). Can you please advise if your Hilti HUS 3 A and HUS 3 I fixings comply with AS 1170.4 when used for hanging plumbing drainage pipes from a concrete slab above.

For the design of post-installed anchors under seismic actions we suggest checking AS 5216:2021 Appendix F.
This appendix refers to AS 1170.4 and requires that fasteners for seismic actions shall be pre-qualified in accordance of the seismic performance categories C1 and C2 of EOTA TR049. Hilti has a range of mechanical and chemical anchors approved for seismic applications.
