Reduced steel strength with stainless steel rods at larger sizes

Hi Guys, I am using Profis anchor software to design a fixing point for a wharf project, however, I am getting an around 40% reduction in the tensile steel strength when I changed from using HIT-V R M24 to HIT-V R M27. Have you ever had this?

Hi,

Thank you for your question about the reduction in tensile steel strength for the larger stainless steel rod sizes.
The reduction is due the decrease in the nominal tensile strength of the stainless steel for rods size M27 and greater. The table below shows the properties for the range of rod size for your reference.

I hope this answers your question. If not or in case there is anything else we can help you with, please feel free to let us know.
