I just wanted to confirm the maximum plate fixing for a HMU PF 80/20, I’m 99% sure that I once the HMU is set using the stop drill bit and the setting tool, that you are left with 35mm of exposed thread/shank and that you can fix a 20mm thick plate.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for contacting Hilti.
You are correct, the concrete hole for the HMU-PF anchor is drilled with a stop drill bit and the anchor is then installed using a setting tool to ensure correct installation of the anchor. From the numbers mentioned above, I am assuming you are referring to Undercut anchor HMU-PF M12x80/20 #2088785 which would need this Stop Drill Bit and this Setting Tool.
You can find more information on this anchor under approval document ETA-14/0069, which can be accessed through THIS LINK.
As for the fixture thickness that can be fixed with the anchor mentioned above (Undercut anchor HMU-PF M12x80/20 #2088785), you can fix a fixture with a thickness up to a maximum of 20mm after the anchor is set.
I hope this answers your question. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you require any more information.
Best regards,
