Proposal to chemset anchor into the top end corner (200 wide) a 200 series DINCEl wall.
Reinforcement unknown, assumed vertical only N12-333 Central
Proposal to chemset into wall centrally (100 edge distance to sides)
Cone pullout failure for what is I assume a 100 mm top edge distance and 100mm side distance?
Anchor also subject to vertical shear (uplift) such that I have concerns re cracking off top corner of wall.
Note that DINCEL wall system has ribs that induce cracking every 333mm vertically
Can I get any advice as to a suitable reduction in pull out in this instance?
Hello Lou,
Thanks for reaching out to Hilti.
You can design your connection using Profis Engineering (link). We have multiple anchors which can be designed for 100 mm concrete edge distances. However, the capacity will depend upon the loads acting in shear and moment. Based on the image you have attached, our governing failure mode will surely be concrete breakout. Also, since there is rib induced cracking, please consider cracked concrete for your design. When you design your connection in PE, it would look something as shown in the attached image.
Alternatively, if you’d require support in designing this connection, please contact our engineering team >> here. When submitting the form, please let us know about the loading requirements as well.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
