CONNECTING STRUTS ON TWO SIDES OF A WALL

Looking at your connection, we can suggest looking at using the RE100 or RE500V3 slow cure chemical anchor products to fill the gap between the rod and the drilled or cored hole through the 250mm wall. The threaded rod can be supplied from our range of HAS-U rods, the length, size and material will depend on your load requirements.

Through fixing is out of scope of the chemical anchor approvals and design codes, it will be up to you on how this connection is designed and installed on site. However, we typically suggest coring or drilling a larger hole diameter compared to what is common to the threaded rod size. This will allow easier flow of chemical or grout around the rod and ensure you achieve coverage along the thickness of the wall.
