can rebar be post-fixed in HILTI epoxy/grout systems without any need to rotate the bar on insertion into the hole? This is to avoid clashing of adjacent installed bars.

Hi Phil,

Thank you for contacting the Hilti team.

Rebars and threaded rods do not have to be rotated when inserted into Hilti chemical anchors as this is not a part of the installation steps highlighted in our ETA (European Technical Assessment) approval documents.

As an example, you can refer to installation instructions highlighted in the approval document ETA 20-0541 for Hilti RE 500 V4 for use with rebar. Please refer to page 25 for the instructions for the rebar insertion into the hole.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any further questions you may have.

Kind regards,
Ask Hilti Team.
