But even if a fault occurs, Hilti will take care of it. Quickly and professionally, for up to 2 years* completely free of charge.
After that we put a limit on what a repair can cost – for as long as you keep on using your Hilti tool.
We even give you a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects.
That’s not just reassuring to know, it’s unique in the power tools business.

No-cost coverage for up to 2 years
With Hilti tools you incur absolutely no repair costs for up to 2 year* from the date of purchase. This includes:
No-cost 1 year only
No-cost 6 months only
Lifetime repair cost limit
After reaching the end of the 1 or 2 year no-cost period, the repair cost is capped.

Hilti repairs or replaces, free of charge, all tools that suffer defects as a result of faults in materials or manufacturing over the entire life of the tool.
With Hilti tools you incur absolutely no repair costs for up to 2 year* from the date of purchase. This includes:
- Pick-up and delivery service
- Labour cost
- Repair or replacement of all defective parts including parts subject to wear and tear
- Servicing when indicated by the service inductor light on the tool
- Functional check, adjustments and safety check after every repair
- Li-ion tools, batteries and chargers
No-cost 1 year only
- Non Li-ion cordless screw/drill drivers
- Corded screw/drill drivers
- 9" angle grinders
- NiCd/NiMH batteries and chargers
- GX 100 Gas-driven fastening tools
No-cost 6 months only
- 5" and 6" angle grinders (Sept 1, 2010 onwards)
Lifetime repair cost limit
After reaching the end of the 1 or 2 year no-cost period, the repair cost is capped.
- Should the cost of the repair be below this cap, you only pay the actual cost of the repair

- No cost for 6 months after each paid repair for tools with 1 or 2 year no-cost period.
- No cost for 3 months after each repair for tools with 6 month no-cost period
Lifetime manufacturer's warranty
Hilti repairs or replaces, free of charge, all tools that suffer defects as a result of faults in materials or manufacturing over the entire life of the tool.
Conditions
Repairs necessitated by misuse, failure to comply with the operating instructions, damage caused by undue force (eg. dropping or impact damage, etc.) or repair/modification of the tool by unauthorised persons are excluded from Lifetime Service.
Lifetime Service applies to the tool as a technical unit without accessories and consumables (eg. pistons and buffers from powder-actuated fastening tools, batteries, chargers, vacuum filters, etc.) as described in the operating instructions.
Lifetime manufacturer's warranty and Lifetime repair cost limit offered as long as replacement parts remain available.
Calibration for measuring/laser tools are not covered by Lifetime Services.
A small shipping and handling fee will apply to tool repairs outside the No cost period.
* Corded screw/drill drivers, non Li-Ion batteries carry 1 year no cost repairs. 5" and 6" angle grinders carry 3 month no-cost repair.
